Wedding photo & video across Arizona

In Arizona we shoot in Sedona. One team makes the photographs and the film, an independent partner photographer is matched to your location and date, and your contract is with them. Sedona has a page for weddings and a page for elopements.

The Arizona license is simple and statewide: the Yavapai and Coconino County clerks both issue it for the same fee, and it is valid anywhere in Arizona12. The land is where the rules sit. Around Sedona, the Forest Service decides which sites need a permit and which need only a reservation, and we explain them on the Sedona pages.

The price list is written for the place you name, with travel built in; send the form with your date and we reply within one business day.

Locations in Arizona

Sedona is the Arizona location with its own pages: wedding photographer and film in Sedona, with the red-rock sites, light by month and the Forest Service rules, and eloping in Sedona, with the paperwork and a half-day plan. Both pages list the sites, the light by month and the rules that apply to them. For a wedding elsewhere in Arizona, send the town on the form.

Arizona marriage license basics

Arizona licenses are issued by the Clerk of the Superior Court. The fee is $98 and there is no waiting period1. The license stays valid for 12 months, and two witnesses aged 18 or over are required1. Both of you appear in person, with no blood test and no residency requirement1.

Coconino County also charges $98 and asks for a driver's license, state ID or passport, plus Social Security numbers from U.S. citizens; it wants the signed license back within 10 days after the ceremony2. A Covenant Marriage License, with additional requirements, is also $98 at Yavapai County1.

Either clerk's office works, because a license from one county is valid anywhere in Arizona12. Sedona Magistrate Court performs ceremonies but does not issue licenses3.

Arizona questions

01How far in advance should we book a wedding photographer in Arizona?

As soon as the date and place are set. An Arizona license stays valid for 12 months1, so the paperwork can wait until the team and the site are fixed. The photographer's calendar and any site reservation are the parts that fill, and a deposit holds your date after the call.

02Do you travel to Arizona, and is travel included?

Travel is built into the quote for the location you name. Sedona is the Arizona location with its own pages here; for another town, send it on the form and we say whether we can match a partner photographer to it. An Arizona license is valid anywhere in the state1, so the venue can move without new paperwork.

03What happens if it rains on our wedding day in Arizona?

We agree a second site beforehand, because rain in Sedona can also close one: the Forest Service posted a flood alert on November 2, 2026 that lists many Red Rock Ranger District sites as closed4. The plan then moves to the next site on the list, with the ceremony earlier or later as the weather allows.

04Can we book photo and video together in Arizona?

Yes, with one crew. In Sedona, the Forest Service no-permit rule for small weddings excludes sound equipment5, so a ceremony with a speaker or amplified music needs a special use permit; ask the district how recording gear is treated. The film is planned beside the gallery from the same day.
