In short

We photograph and film weddings of any size across the US and Canada through independent partners. You choose photo, video or both, and the same crew works the day. You contract directly with the partner photographer matched to your location, and we send a price list for your place instead of publishing prices.

Wedding photography and videography as one booking

A wedding day has two jobs in it: the still pictures and the moving ones. Booked separately, they compete for the same stretch of good light and the same corner of the room. Booked together, with one crew, the photographer and the videographer plan a single schedule: where the portraits happen, which window the film uses for the ceremony, and who stands where during the vows.

Troth Weddings photographs and films weddings from a few guests to a full weekend. We cover the day; we do not plan it. If you already have a planner or a venue coordinator, our partner works alongside them. If you do not, the partner still tells you what the timeline needs for the pictures to work, such as how much time to leave between the ceremony and the family groups.

The partner is an independent, working photographer or videographer, matched to your location. We introduce you; you hire them.

What a wedding collection includes

Every collection is built from three choices: how much of the day we cover, which medium you want, and whether to add albums afterwards. Coverage runs from a half day to two days. The medium is photo, video or both, and the same team works the day either way.

Photo means an edited online gallery with print rights and a sneak peek within days of the wedding. Film means a feature film that follows the day in order, a short teaser, and the full ceremony audio so the vows are heard in full. Both means all of it from one crew; the videography page describes the film side in detail.

Albums and prints are optional and come after the gallery; see the options. What a collection does not include is planning, a venue, flowers or any vendor list. We say that now so nobody is surprised later.

The exact deliverables and delivery dates are written into the contract you sign with your photographer, not into this page.

How a wedding booking works

You send the form with your date and place. Within one business day we reply with the price list for your location and the recent work of the partner we would introduce. You talk with the photographer, ask what you like, and decide. If it fits, a deposit holds the date under their contract.

Closer to the day, the photographer sends a short questionnaire about people, places and timing, so the schedule is built around your family and your venue instead of a template. After the wedding you receive the sneak peek first, then the full gallery and the film on the dates in your contract. We stay in the loop until you have both.

The step-by-step version is on how it works, and the reasons behind the missing price tags are on the price list page.

Where we shoot weddings

Collections

Every collection comes as photo, video, or both, with the same team on the day. Half day covers an elopement or a small ceremony and portraits; Full day runs from getting ready to the first hour of the reception; Two days adds a rehearsal dinner, a welcome evening or a next-morning session. Travel to your location is built into the quote, not added later.

Prices depend on the date, the team and how far we travel, so we send a price list for your location rather than publishing one number for every town. Ask for it below; it arrives within one business day.

Questions about wedding coverage

01How far in advance should we book a wedding photographer?

As early as you know your date and place. Popular dates and destination weekends fill first, and a partner can only hold a date once a deposit is paid. If your date is close, send the form anyway: we reply within one business day and tell you whether the partner photographer matched to your location is free.

02Do you travel to our location, and is travel included?

Every place we shoot has its own page, and travel to it is built into the quote. If you are marrying somewhere else, say so in the form.

03Can we book photo and video together?

Yes, and it is the usual choice. Photo and video come from one crew working the same schedule, so nobody is asked to pose twice or to stand in the other's frame. You can also book photo only or film only; the collections table on this page shows all three options side by side.

04What happens if it rains on our wedding day?

Rain changes where the pictures happen, rarely whether they happen. Your photographer plans for it at the questionnaire stage: covered spots, indoor light and a portrait window that can move. Each location page describes the local weather and light with sources, so you know what the season usually brings.

05How many photos do we receive, and when?

The number depends on the length of your collection and the pace of the day, so your photographer states it in the contract together with the delivery dates. A sneak peek arrives first, within days of the wedding. The full edited gallery follows on the date set in your contract.

06Can we get the raw files?

Photographers deliver edited images as standard. Whether raw files are ever offered is each photographer's decision, and it would be written into your contract. If you need them for a reason, ask on the first call, before you sign anything and before a deposit holds the date.

Say when.

Tell us the date, or just the month, and where the wedding will be. The reply comes within one business day with the price list for your place and the recent work of the partner we would introduce.
