Wedding photo & video across Idaho

In Idaho we shoot in Boise. One team makes the photographs and the film, an independent partner photographer is matched to your location and date, and your contract is with them. Boise has two pages here, one for weddings and one for wedding videography.

Idaho's paperwork rarely sets the date. The license has no waiting period and no expiration date1, and no witnesses need to be listed on it2, so the photographer's calendar and the park or venue you choose are the real constraints. The one firm rule is geographic: an Idaho license is valid only for a ceremony held in Idaho2.

The price list is written for the place you name, with travel built in; send the form with your date and we reply within one business day.

Locations in Idaho

Boise is the Idaho location with its own pages: wedding photographer and film in Boise, covering the river greenbelt, the foothills and the city parks we shoot, and wedding videography in Boise, covering sound and light. Both pages list the sites, the light by month and the park rules. For a wedding elsewhere in Idaho, send the town on the form and we tell you whether we can match a partner photographer to it.

Idaho marriage license basics

An Idaho license comes from the county recorder; in Ada County, which includes Boise, the fee is $301. There is no waiting period, the license has no expiration date, and Idaho does not require witnesses to be listed on it2.

Both of you appear together with a non-expired government photo ID and your Social Security numbers1. Idaho asks for no residency, but the license is valid only for a ceremony held in Idaho2. The officiant must be authorized under Idaho Code Section 32-3031, and completes the marriage certificate section of the license2.

In practice it is a short visit: complete the online application before you go, then see the Recorder's Office on a weekday. Walk-ins and scheduled appointments are both accepted, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm1.

Idaho questions

01How far in advance should we book a wedding photographer in Idaho?

As soon as the date and place are set. An Idaho license has no waiting period and no expiration date1, so you can collect it whenever it suits you, while the photographer's calendar is the part that fills. After the call, a deposit holds your date with the partner.

02Do you travel to Idaho, and is travel included?

Travel is built into the quote for the location you name. Boise is the Idaho location with its own pages here; for another town, send it on the form and we say whether we can match a partner photographer to it. An Idaho license is valid only for a ceremony in Idaho2.

03Can we book photo and video together in Idaho?

Yes. One crew shoots both, and the film is planned beside the gallery from the same day. A film collection gives you a feature, a teaser and the full ceremony audio. In Boise we also have a separate page on wedding videography, covering sound, light and what you receive.

04What happens if it rains on our wedding day in Idaho?

Rain is light in a Boise summer and heavier in spring and fall: Boise Airport averages 0.21 in in July, against 1.23 in in April and 0.81 in in October3. For those months we agree a covered or indoor fallback beforehand and keep the portrait plan flexible.
