Wedding photo & video across Nebraska
In Nebraska we shoot in two cities, Omaha and Lincoln. In Omaha, the Old Market keeps brick-paved streets from the turn of the 20th century and covered sidewalks in places3. One team makes both the photographs and the film, an independent partner photographer is matched to your location and date, and your contract is with them.
Nebraska's rules are short and firm. A license must come from a Nebraska county clerk before the ceremony, and it is used within one year of issuance2. At least two witnesses, besides the officiant, must be present1, so a Nebraska elopement has at least five people at the ceremony: the two of you, two witnesses and the officiant. A date can be planned well ahead of the paperwork.
The price list is written for the city you name, with travel built in. For a wedding elsewhere in Nebraska, send the town and the date on the form.
Locations in Nebraska
We cover two Nebraska cities. Omaha has its own page with the river, mall and park places we shoot, sunrise and sunset by month, and the Douglas County Clerk's license steps. Lincoln has its own page too. Each page is written for its city, so read the one nearest your ceremony, and use the form for any other Nebraska town.
Nebraska marriage license basics
Nebraska licenses come from a county clerk under Nebraska Revised Statute 42-104, and a license must be obtained before the ceremony and used within one year of issuance2. At least two witnesses, besides the minister or magistrate, must be present at the ceremony1.
Judges, retired judges, clerk magistrates and clergy authorized by their church may perform the ceremony, and the return is made to the issuing clerk within 15 days4. In Douglas County, which includes Omaha, the Clerk's office is at the Omaha-Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street5. Anyone aged 19 or older may apply, 17- and 18-year-olds need notarized parental or guardian consent, and applicants' names and ages are published in the Omaha World-Herald and the Daily Record5.

Nebraska questions
01How far in advance should we book a wedding photographer in Nebraska?
As soon as your date and place are set. A Nebraska license is used within one year of issuance2, so you can collect it well ahead, and the photographer is the part with a calendar. We can only match you with a partner who is free on your date.
02Do you travel to Nebraska, and is travel included?
03Can we book photo and video together in Nebraska?
Yes. A collection is photo, video or both, shot by the same team on the day, so there is one schedule and one set of portrait stops. Choose Photo + Video on the form and the price list covers both, written for Omaha or Lincoln.
04Can we get the raw files?
Raw files are not part of a collection, which includes the edited gallery. Whether a photographer releases unedited files, and on what terms, is a contract question, so raise it on the first call, before the deposit holds your date, and keep the answer in writing.
