Wedding photo & video across Oklahoma
Troth Weddings is a network of independent wedding photographers and videographers. In Oklahoma we start in Tulsa, where Gathering Place opened on September 8, 2018, along the Arkansas River4, and Woodward Park has been a public park, botanical garden and arboretum since 19295. Old and new green space sit in the same city, and a wedding can use both.
Photo and video come from one team, so you speak to one partner from the first call to the delivered gallery, and the camera positions and the microphones are planned together. We send that partner's recent galleries and films before you speak. If your date is elsewhere in Oklahoma, name the town on the form. Travel is built into the quote.
Locations in Oklahoma
In Oklahoma we shoot in Tulsa. Its page covers the gardens, the river parks, an April timeline built around the sun times, and the photography permits at Woodward Park and the Tulsa Botanic Garden, so you can see the permit rules before you plan one. For a wedding elsewhere in Oklahoma, tell us the town on the form and we will reply within one business day.
Oklahoma marriage license basics
Oklahoma marriage licenses are issued by the court clerk of each county. The fee is $501, or $5 with a certificate from a premarital counseling program of at least four hours2. The license is valid for 30 days: the ceremony must take place within that time, and the license and completed certificate must be returned to the court clerk within the same 30 days3. It is valid in any Oklahoma county6, so you can apply where you live and marry elsewhere in the state.
Two adults must witness the ceremony, and a marriage must be contracted by a formal ceremony performed by a judge or an authorized religious officiant at least 18 years old7. For Tulsa's park and garden photography permits, see our Tulsa page.

Questions couples ask
01How far in advance should we book a wedding photographer in Oklahoma?
Settle the photographer first and the license last. Oklahoma gives you 30 days from issuance to hold the ceremony and return the paperwork3, so the license is a late job, while the photographer's date needs the lead time. A deposit holds it once you have spoken.
02Do you travel to Oklahoma, and is travel included?
Travel is built into the quote, not added later. Our Oklahoma pages are written for Tulsa. If your wedding is somewhere else in the state, tell us the town on the form and we will say whether we can match a partner photographer to it.
03Can we book photo and video together?
Yes. Every collection comes as photo, video, or both, with the same team on the day. Film plans around local rules: the Tulsa Botanic Garden does not allow drones during operating hours8, and one crew keeps that kind of detail in one place.
04What happens if it rains on our wedding day?
May is Tulsa's wettest month in the normals, at 5.73 in9. We plan for rain from the start: a sheltered option for each portrait stop, a second portrait window later in the day, and a decision made together in the morning rather than at the garden gate.
